Rick delivers artful performances in both state-of-the-art and legendary vintage aircraft:

For 2016, Rick will continue to delight crowds in the Harvard Mk IV, demonstrating extremely difficult maneuvers in a vintage aircraft that weighs more than 4 times more than a modern aerobatic aircraft. Rick has a repertoire that includes vertical rolls, snap rolls, spins, hammerheads, point rolls, simulated torque rolls, and a Harvard version of a “hover” that will set the new standard for warbird displays, along with all of the classic maneuvers. Years of Unlimited Freestyle performances in the Sukhoi have given Rick the ability to squeeze new exciting maneuvers out of the Harvard that seem impossible!

Precision aerobatics with heart-stopping gyroscopic tumbling and hovering will forever be Rick’s trademark, as presented in the world’s premier aerobatic aircraft: The Sukhoi SU-26M. The most extreme tumbling maneuvers, performed explosively with complete mastery and control. In ten minutes, Rick Volker artfully demonstrates knife-edge spins, flat spins, mulleroids, cravats, hovering, cartwheels, lomcevaks (forward and backward) along with multiple snap-rolls. His signature rolling loop and giant cartwheel always impresses even the most seasoned air show fan.

Rick Volker is also known for his aerobatic performances in the Supermarine Spitfire MK IX and Messerschmitt Bf109E and Hawker Hurricane MK XII for the Russell Aviation Group in Niagara Falls, Ontario. He flew with the Canadian Forces Heritage Flight Team, flying the Spitfire in tight formation with the CF-18 fighter at several Canadian airshows. Rick was also privileged to perform an aerobatic display in the Bf109E before the assembled crowd at the Red Bull Air Race in Windsor - Detroit.
